Shockwave Therapy Treatment
For chronic tendon conditions (10-12 weeks without any improvement) it is advised that patients undergo Shockwave Therapy Treatment.
Shockwave Therapy produces an acoustic wave which carries high energy to painful spots and myoskeletal tissues with subchronic and chronic conditions. The energy promotes regeneration and reparative processes of the bones, tendons and other soft tissues.
Treatment Session Frequency
You will need 3 sessions over 3 weeks then a fourth session 6 weeks later. It is important to continue to do your rehabilitation programme during this time to address muscle weakness and movement faults that contribute to the problem.
